About a love for culture and baking

Growing up in Lisbon, Portugal, I was surrounded by bakeries and delicious pastries, not to mention my own mother's superb cooking.

After moving to the United States, I found myself missing some of the desserts and savory dishes I had enjoyed as a child that are so traditional in Portugal. Over the years, I have baked and cooked some of those dishes for my family, but it wasn't until recently that I decided to share them with everyone.

Just before Christmas 2021, and with the support and encouragement of family and friends, I decided to start selling some of my favorite baked goods through a small home based business, and Tuga Treats was born.

Since then, I've been amazed at the happiness that Tuga Treats has brought to me as I've shared my culture through food, and to those who have come seeking a small taste of Portugal.
